How to Get Back on Track After You’ve Slipped Up

We’ve all done it. It can happen to anyone.

One day you’re hitting the gym, drinking your green juice, counting your carbs and getting a full 8 hours of sleep. The next … you’re waking up from a hangover of drinking alcohol and eating fast food.

Making healthy lifestyle changes doesn’t happen over night. It’s not easy. But rather than slapping your hand to forehead or completely giving up each time you slip up, just get back on track and try again. A few good days turn into a few good weeks and before you know it you’ve established lasting life habits.

It’s all about how you react to the situation. With that in mind, I’ve put together a few scenarios and devised an action-and-reaction plan for you so you can get back on track – ASAP. These are inspired by Newton’s third law of motion. As he said, for every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction.

The Action-Reaction Plan

Remember, two steps forward and one step back — eventually you’ll get to where you need to go.
